Lucy Winton

I became entranced by drawing while studying fashion design at F.I.T.  I respond to intimate scale and sometimes reference children’s book illustrations almost to review my first experiences of visual excitement.  I’m drawn to the romantic tradition and enjoy the sentimental with a touch of mischief.

Many of my pieces have been nocturnal, perhaps because I worked for more than a decade on the midnight shift.

Lucy Winton is represented by Tripoli Gallery, (631) 377-3715
